Dave & Buster's Opens in McKinney With 100+ Games and a 40-Foot Screen

McKinney just got a lot more fun. Dave & Buster’s officially opened its new McKinney location on July 27, with a ribbon-cutting at 9:45 AM and doors open to the public at 10 AM the same day. At roughly 40,000 square feet, it’s the largest Dave & Buster’s in North Texas, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the city’s go-to spots for games, food, and watching the game.

You’ll find it at 4064 W. University Drive, inside the second phase of the Plaza at Fort Buckner development from the Seitz Group. That puts it in good company: Torchy’s Tacos, Frost Bank, and Piada are all part of the same development. The project carried an $8.1 million construction price tag, with work breaking ground in September 2024.

The gaming floor is the headline act, with more than 100 arcade games, including a Top Gun: Maverick flight simulator and a Human Crane claw machine that’s exactly as fun as it sounds. Gamers looking for something more private can book one of the Private Game Suites, outfitted with High Tech Darts or Social Shuffleboard. There’s also an exclusive UFC Challenge fighting game, on-site only through January 2027.

For sports fans, the venue is built around a 40-foot sports screen plus more than 30 oversized HDTVs surrounding the bar, so there’s not a bad seat in the house for NFL Sundays or a UFC card. A prize store rounds out the arcade side, and party rooms are available for birthday parties and corporate events.

On the food side, expect a chef-crafted menu built around steaks, game-day wings, burgers, and shareable appetizers. General Manager Reschelle Karanja said the space “was designed to be the ultimate community hang out,” and mentioned the team is excited to bring “wonderful latest and greatest games” to McKinney.
